Trial Fonts End User Licensing Agreement (EULA)

1 CONTRACTUAL
AGREEMENT

This End User Licensing Agreement (“EULA”) is a contract between you, the license holder, and Studio Lars Høie. By downloading, installing, uploading, sending, using, receiving, or handling Font Software owned by Studio Lars Høie, you agree to the terms of this EULA outlined below. However, the rights are granted to you only after Studio Lars Høie has received the full payment of the license fee. As a licensed user, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual, worldwide license to use the Fonts as specified in this EULA. This license does not expire, allowing you to use the Fonts indefinitely, provided you adhere to the terms of your license. Studio Lars Høie reserves the right to terminate your license if the terms or conditions are breached.

2
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & COPYRIGHT

All Font Software covered by this EULA is the intellectual property and copyright of Studio Lars Høie. When you purchase Font Software, you are acquiring a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable license to use those Fonts under specific conditions, not ownership of the Font Software or any part of the design. Once Studio Lars Høie receives full payment for the license, you become a licensed user, with all other rights not expressly granted in this agreement reserved.

3
PERMITTED USE

Trial Fonts are provided by Studio Lars Høie for testing and trial purposes at no cost. You can use these fonts to create test visualizations, presentations, and pitches for internal use within your company. They may also be used in both paid and unpaid pitches for clients to showcase the potential of the Trial Fonts. However, Trial Fonts cannot be used in any final files for any project, whether commercial or non-commercial. If you wish to use the Trial Fonts for commercial purposes or beyond the scope of testing, you must purchase the appropriate license from Studio Lars Høie.

You are not permitted to use the Fonts in any context that promotes non-renewable resources, opposes nature conservation, or harms the well-being of our planet and future generations. Additionally, the Fonts may not be used in any content that is racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, or discriminatory in nature.

4
GENERAL TERMS

Modification: You are not allowed to modify the Font Software in any way. This includes renaming, altering characteristics or drawings, reverse engineering, and changing the font format. You may convert text into vector paths (such as outlining text in Illustrator) and edit those vector paths, but you cannot modify the Font Software itself. All modifications to the Font Software must be carried out exclusively by Studio Lars Høie. The only exception is for Web Licenses, where you are allowed to subset the Web Fonts solely to reduce file size. Subsetted fonts are still subject to all terms and conditions of this EULA.

Licensing Add-ons: Any additional licensing terms (further licensing types, defined in add-ons to this EULA) are incorporated into the full terms of this EULA, unless otherwise specified.

Liability: Studio Lars Høie will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit or goodwill, arising out of or related to this EULA. Our total liability for damages, if any, will be limited to the total fees paid by you to Studio Lars Høie.

Replacement of All Previous Agreements: This agreement supersedes any previous oral or written proposals or agreements between you and Studio Lars Høie.

Amendments: Studio Lars Høie reserves the right to amend the terms of the License as needed due to new or changed technology, effective as of the date of publication of the amendment on Studio Lars Høie’s website.

Breach of Contract; Termination: If you violate any provisions of this EULA, in addition to any damages, Studio Lars Høie may recover from you the costs incurred in investigating and addressing the violation, enforcing the EULA, and finalizing a settlement, including reasonable investigation and legal fees.
